As we come out of the end of 2020 and into 2021, you’ve probably (like all of us) gone through your fair share of business challenges. It’s absolutely true that 2020 was a year like no other, with challenges unlike ones that we would normally experience – however, that isn’t to say that the normal challenges for business owners were in front of them also.

Challenges like controlling your costs, keeping hold of the customers you have and adapting to the circumstances you find yourself in. These are all challenges that we find in business pretty commonly – and hopefully this year, we’re going to have a few more challenges like this and a few less challenges around writing a new work from home policy, or procuring the appropriate amount of PPE.

Unsurprisingly, good IT can help you streamline and help you solve some of these common problems. These are a few examples of how.

Customer Retention

Keeping hold of the customers that you have (especially if you run a service-based business) is the key to growth. If you’re attracting new customers, and not losing the customers that you have worked hard to gain then you’re going to be growing.

Good IT helps with customer retention in two ways. It can definitely ensure that your processes are more streamlined and efficient, which will absolutely help your staff to deliver better customer service.

The other side of things is that IT is often a big headache for business owners. If you’ve outsourced your IT to another business that you know you can trust to do the job then, without doubt, you’ll be able to spend more time yourself looking after those hard-won customers.

Control your costs

Its important for all of us to make sure we are controlling our costs, otherwise they can easily spiral out of control which can affect your profitability and cash flow. Now more than ever, given the uncertainty of the economic situation you want to keep an eye on your costs.

Because of the level of expertise required, employing a member of staff full time to work on your IT is expensive – but thankfully for most small and medium-sized businesses it’s just not necessary. Comparatively, working with a great outsourced IT company will ensure you only spend what you need to on your IT, whilst receiving excellent support.

Adapt, adapt and adapt some more

Whilst we aren’t keen to suggest that 2021 is going to be a carbon copy of 2020, it’s fair to say that the buzz word of last year was “adaption” and we’re pretty certain that judging by the last few weeks that there will still be some adaptions that businesses will need to make this year too.

With an outsourced team working on your IT, this will give you the flexibility to scale up, scale back and change your processes more quickly – another helpful way that good IT support can help you to overcome a business problem.

No matter the particular business challenges that you find yourself facing in 2021, if it’s a problem that can be solved with IT, Webby Tech are here to help you out. You may have seen that just before Christmas we were named one of the Top 50 UK managed IT companies for the second year running, so you can be assured we know what we’re talking about.
